Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Guide
From finding a suitable opportunity to checking funding and preparing your mobility.

How staff mobility usually works
1. Find an opportunity. Identify a Staff Week, structured course, job-shadowing placement or another relevant professional development activity.
2. Check with your sending institution. Confirm eligibility, available funding and internal selection procedures with your Erasmus+ or international office.
3. Agree the mobility. Where required, complete the relevant Mobility Agreement and learning objectives with the participating organisations.
4. Confirm funding and travel. Erasmus+ support may contribute to travel and subsistence; exact support depends on the mobility, destination, distance, duration and institutional arrangements.
5. Complete and recognise the mobility. Follow your organisation’s documentation and recognition requirements after the activity.
Who can participate?
Teaching and non-teaching staff across education sectors may be eligible, depending on the relevant Erasmus+ action and their organisation’s participation.
What can be supported?
Funding may contribute to eligible travel and individual support. Rates are not universal and should always be confirmed by the sending institution.
